Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
Here in South Simcoe, we are based in Alliston with members living throughout our region. Although a new Kiwanis Club, organized in 2021, we are involved in a number of community service projects all designed to benefit the young people of Sough Simcoe.
We’d like you to get involved and join us. For membership information please click here.
We’re becoming known as the club with the big, soft, teddy bear heart. Hundreds of kids and their families take part in our annual picnic. There is free food, free prizes, and free fun for all.
We’re introducing this fastest growing sport to young people of the area. We offer them free clinics, water and snacks.
They don’t need paddles or balls. All they have to bring is an adventurous spirit and a smile.
Since our inception in 2021 our volunteers have been busy working to improve the lives of our South Simcoe kids. Here are a few of the projects that we are involved in.
We take part in the annual Alliston Potato Festival through our craft booth in the Kids’ Zone. Young people create fans and puppets through hands-on learning.
Throughout the province of Ontario Kiwanis clubs partner with their local Staples store to encourage patrons to donate to the back to school drive. Thousands of dollars of school supplies are gathered and distributed to those who need them most.
We’ve created Birthday in a Bag kits and distributed them to our local food banks. Each colorful kit contains a birthday card, balloons, cake mix, a baking pan, icing, and candles. Everything that one will need for a happy birthday except for the smiles.
We Couldn’t Do It Without Them
